ABOUT WINDOW OPTICS
Window Optics was founded in 2019 to deliver comprehensive window film solutions for commercial and residential clients—from solar and decorative films to safety, security, and specialty applications. Our founder, Taylor Gautsche, has been immersed in the window film industry since 1996, when he started working alongside his uncle in Eden Prairie, Minnesota, learning the craft in automotive tinting. After launching a construction remodeling business in 2015, Taylor noticed a recurring theme: clients struggling with fading floors and excessive heat. That insight sparked the creation of Window Optics. What began with residential projects quickly expanded into the commercial sector, particularly safety and security film installations for local school districts. Since 2021, we’ve partnered with more than 70 schools across the metro area and served over 250 customers who trust us to protect and enhance their spaces.
In March 2025, Window Optics merged with RENZE—a 130-year-old Omaha-based industry leader in exhibits, displays, graphics, and custom printed window films. This partnership brings state-of-the-art printing capabilities and a 130,000 sq ft facility to our operations, dramatically expanding what we can offer our customers.
We work with five major window film manufacturers to deliver quality products that fit any budget. As the industry evolves, so do we—constantly refining our knowledge, installation practices, and project management to ensure you’re supported every step of the way.
